The SU10000RT3U is a 10 kVA, 9 kW online platform supplied with the SUPDMB710 detachable PDU and manual bypass switch. Equipment record: Eaton Tripp Lite Series SU10000RT3U, companion identifier SUPDMB710. Decision: Accept SU10000RT3U bypass commissioning only when source compatibility, 7.2 kW loading, battery condition, fan operation and the SUPDMB710 transfer and return states are proven.

Bypass is an alternate energized path

A bypass transfer places the load on an alternate electrical path and may remove power conditioning. The commissioning record therefore checks source compatibility, load consequence, switch or static-bypass state and return to normal operation. It does not use an illuminated bypass indicator as the whole test.

For Eaton Tripp Lite Series SU10000RT3U, the applicability boundary is anchored to 10 kVA, 9 kW and part SUPDMB710. The 2 worked inputs remain assumptions until they are recorded at the equipment.

Load and SUPDMB710 record

The controlling numerical record is: UPS rating: 10 kVA; Worked real-power class: 9 kW; Worked bypass voltage: 208 V; Worked protected load: 7.2 kW; Inverter, electronic bypass and manual bypass: 3 power states; Worked ambient: 25 degrees C. Each value has a defined source or assumption status in the engineering ledger. Values from different configurations are not combined as though they came from one installed system.

Engineering parameter Value Evidence status
UPS rating 10 kVA Published OEM value
Worked real-power class 9 kW Published OEM value
Worked bypass voltage 208 V Published OEM value
Worked protected load 7.2 kW Worked design assumption
Inverter, electronic bypass and manual bypass 3 power states Published OEM value
Worked ambient 25 degrees C Worked design assumption

The 7.2 kW worked load is 80 percent of the published 9 kW real-power rating. That leaves 1.8 kW nominal margin before transient and overload limits. The state record distinguishes normal inverter operation, fault-tolerant electronic bypass and the SUPDMB710 manual service path.

An 80 percent worked load

The worked check uses load fraction = 7.2 kW / 9 kW. With a 7.2 kW worked load and 9 kW power class, the result is 80% load with 1.8 kW nominal margin. The transfer is not attempted when source, load or active alarm falls outside the approved state. The arithmetic is reproducible, but it remains a design check until the listed inputs are confirmed at the equipment.

The 80% load with 1.8 kW nominal margin result follows from load fraction = 7.2 kW / 9 kW. If the 7.2 kW input changes, this check is repeated rather than carrying the earlier result into a different operating state.

Electronic and manual bypass are different states

Pre-transfer data includes input and bypass voltage and frequency, synchronization, conductor arrangement, load, battery state, fan status and active events. The protected-load owner confirms the consequence of raw bypass power.

The test observes electronic-bypass transfer, SUPDMB710 manual-path operation under the approved procedure, bypass current, output, alarms and return to inverter. Any abnormal voltage, frequency, load, temperature, fan or battery condition stops the sequence.

Path Technical consequence Disposition
Apply the stated engineering decision Accept SU10000RT3U bypass commissioning only when source compatibility, 7.2 kW loading, battery condition, fan operation and the SUPDMB710 transfer and return states are proven. Selected basis
Generic model substitution Select by family name or rating alone, without confirming the exact configuration. Not selected on the stated evidence
Unverified operating assumption Treat a design assumption as though it were a site measurement. Reconsider only if the input changes

The Eaton Tripp Lite Series SU10000RT3U decision retains part SUPDMB710, the 80% load with 1.8 kW nominal margin calculation result and the manufacturer-published 10 kVA point in one equipment record. Applicable OEM instructions, qualified electrical authority and the installed single-line or wiring record remain controlling for any executable work.

Transfer, carry and return

Acceptance of Eaton Tripp Lite Series SU10000RT3U depends on five recorded checks:

  • Confirm SU10000RT3U, SUPDMB710 and the installed 200, 208 or 240 V configuration.
  • Measure input, bypass and output voltage and frequency before transfer.
  • Confirm 7.2 kW loading, temperature, fan and battery state.
  • Observe electronic transfer, the approved manual-path state and controlled return.
  • Record final normal mode, open events and load-owner acceptance.

The Eaton Tripp Lite Series SU10000RT3U record is not accepted if part SUPDMB710 does not match, the calculation does not reproduce 80% load with 1.8 kW nominal margin, or the final operating state is not recorded. The equipment returns to the approved safe state when a check stops, and the unresolved condition remains open without an invented repair result.

Commissioning ends in the normal state

The 80 percent worked load can proceed to a bypass test only with compatible sources and no unresolved battery, thermal, overload or fan condition. Commissioning finishes after controlled return from the SUPDMB710 path to normal inverter mode.

Decision rule: Accept SU10000RT3U bypass commissioning only when source compatibility, 7.2 kW loading, battery condition, fan operation and the SUPDMB710 transfer and return states are proven. A different model, load, voltage, battery string, software version or operating state requires a new check against the applicable manufacturer record.
